The following are representative samples of projects for which SCI performed as the Structural Engineer of Record.

EcoLab Shenandoah Valley Plant is a 230,000 square feet manufacturing facility located in Martinsburg, WV.  The exterior skin of the building is load bearing tilt-up concrete panels.  The interior office floor, and mezzanines are steel framed structures.  The roof structure is framed with steel joists and steel joist girders.  The project was constructed in the summer and fall of 2000.  The architect is Design Concepts of Winchester, Virginia.

 

 

 

Kiln Creek child care is located in Newport News, Virginia.  The architect is Glick and Boehm of Charleston, South Carolina.

 

 

 

 

Valley Farm Credit is a 3 story steel and wood framed structure located in Winchester, Virginia.  The building contains approximately 16,000 square feet.  The lower level or basement is concrete slab on grade.  The main level is framed with steel joists supporting a concrete slab The upper level is framed with engineered wood floor trusses and the roof is framed with pre-engineered wood trusses and dimensional lumber.  The buildings lateral stability is provided for by wood framed shear walls.  The architect is Reader and Swartz of Winchester, Virginia. 

  

 

The Kiln Creek Country Club is located in Newport News, Virginia.  The structure is placed on deep timber pile foundations.  The building contains approximately 30,000 square feet and includes an indoor / outdoor pool.  The floors are framed with composite steel beams and concrete floor slab construction.  The architect is Glick and Boehm of Charleston, South Carolina.
